The highest priority of Walk with the Poor is to promote effective initiatives that serve the areas that need them most.

The United Nations, as part of its Sustainable Development Goals, targeted the elimination of extreme poverty (defined as living on less than $2.15/day in 2017 dollars) everywhere in the globe by 2030
​
Walk with the Poor hopes to do its part to help the world get closer to this goal.

We believe that by walking with the poor, we can learn as much from the poor as they can from us.
